One Switch Rent a Car at Orlando Airport

Pros: Value for money

Cons: Was told the gas level was 3/4 so got back at 3/4 level. And was charged for two gallons (17 USD). I was in a rush to get to the airport for the flight. So did not dispute and made the payment.

Cons: Nice car but a lot of scuffs/ dents not first accounted for but no problem when pointed out and added to our booking

They said it’s the amount of vehicles available, there was like 300 cars in that jawn. Not to mention they’re running their system on like dial up or some shit cause good god it took like 45 min to get the keys. Plus they hit you with “you have to have full coverage” and want like 60-80 a day for that. Was truly wild.

Service was slow on arrival. Highly recommend do not rent from this company.

Cons: Wasn't given the same make/model that I had selected. I was forced to take a train from Terminal C to Terminal A because they won't pick up at C. The shuttle driver who picked us up was texting and driving and was all over the road. The wait was incredibly long in the line to actually pick up the car. It was over 2 hours from when my flight landed to when I was actually able to drive off in the car.

Meanwhile, the information I had in front of me had the exact exact dates booked. Seemed like there was an internal error. Car should’ve been cleaner in the inside. Had a funny odor.

Cons: One switch car rental is defrauding unsuspecting people into believing Florida law requires the consumer to purchase liability insurance through One Switch. As we know that's not the law at all. Yes, you must have a active personal liability insurance policy but you can decline coverage from the rental company. My quote, as others before and after me, tripled at the counter because of the insurance "required" through one switch. I plan on filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Florida.

Cons: Everything. I have used several rental companies in the same area & have never had issues until the service with One Switch. They wanted a Declaration Page from insurance (which has never been needed by any rental company before) or they wanted to charge $39.95 per day to use their insurance. Once the insurance proof was given, there was a charge to use my own insurance AND the difference in the policies had to be paid for on top of everything. This place is a SCAM.

I think it would have been an even worse experience if I didn't speak spanish, though. The shuttle driver was cool, though, and dropping off the car was pretty easy and straightforward.

Cons: Requiring customers to pay $10/day for a SunPass, since if you don't pay for it, they charge you $28.50 for each toll you pass through, regardless of whether you can pay the toll in cash or not. This is essentially blackmail. I didn't like that they didn't answer their landline to send a shuttle to the airport, and I didn't like the fact that they charged $4.00 to my credit card a week after I rented the car without explanation.

They were not going to let us use our own insurance despite us having adequate coverage. They needed us to provide the declaration page. When we said we’d cancel then our insurance was adequate. Customers before and after us were upset with all the up charges, we were too.

Cons: They charged me $40+ dollars to activate the toll transponder when I stated I had my own. I am a Fl resident and in Fl the sticker is not even $20 to purchase. The amount of people that were there when I arrived that cancelled their reservation was unreal due to their LIES AND SCAMS. My $95 rental turned into $291 apparently they only give Fl residents 50 miles a day and if you want unlimited then it’s $20 PER DAY. They didn’t accept my insurance to charge me more. I need my money back for lies.

My car rental was suppose to be $157 and I end up paying $349 since they said they said they only had an SUV size and we were supposed to get iintermediate.

The price quoted on the Kayak website was much lower than the actual price due to crazy amount of additional fees that were added when I actually went to pick up the car (at that point I was stranded at this rental company after taking about 2 hours to even get to the point of signing for the car).

Cons: It was advertised at a certain price and when we arrived we learned there were mandatory additional costs we were not aware of (liability insurance) and the actual cost was significantly higher. Also the car we received was in terrible shape. We felt lucky it didn’t break down on us during our trip.

And finally when we got there I ended up spending $400 more for the car because af all these fees I even had my ow rental car insurance and they still charge me insurance I asked for a breakdown of everything and they supposedly can’t give it to you beacause the “system” doesn’t give it to them.

On top of all of this, impossible to get a hold of the facility. I have called 10+ times and no one answers, and I am unable to "leave a message d/t full inbox" Never will use again.

Cons: The shuttle to and from the airport took forever and we actually missed our return flight home. Shuttle driver was testing while driving and on the phone distracted. Car was in poor condition. Had dents and scratches over the entire exterior, had maintenance lights on, key fob didn’t work, engine idled roughly and even stalled on us once.

Pros: After reading several bad reviews I can honestly say I was a little hesitant. READ the directions and have your insurance available if you deny the coverage. As far as toll roads, if you don’t get the toll service just simply use no tolls when punching in directions. Be patient and enjoy your vacation.

The guy checking in next me had state farm and although that is a national car insurance company they didn’t accept it so he had to pay their car insurance fee.

I was towed from JAX and he claimed the check engine light was on to alert the need for an oil change. I was inconvenienced, felt disregarded, and had to insist for a better vehicle.

Cons: The car we booked 8 seater wasn’t available and they provided a 7 seater. I explained this was no good as we had 8 people and they just GIF go have a vehicle. Had to take 7 seater and car then get 8 seater next day.

Pros: Did not like it at all! I had rented the same car type 3days ago and the rep couldn't find any information about me. Also, they requested to put down $1000 deposit when I only placed $250 3 days ago. It took quite a bit of arguing to bring the deposit down to $500 and finally to $250, even as I purchased the car insurance ahead of time.

Cons: My flight was delayed and the agency closed at 11pm. Other companies offer longer work hours or even fast pass options which makes the rental seamless. I understand my flight issues is not the rental car problems, however, if this company wants to move up in the market they need to provide more customer service. Email was great, good follow up.

A car rental store should provide check in service and easy return. Obviously, they are not doing a great job.

At one point she tossed the keys across the counter and waved in the direction of the car we were to receive and said, "it's out there." Cons: When we got in the car, the car dash read "Car not ready, Maintenance Required." Luckily we did not take the car. We did receive another car, but when returning that car, the cust. rep asked us if we picked up the car in Miami. We were not given any documentation when we returned the car as to what the final bill was or confirmation that we returned the car.

Cons: After being bussed to the rental car agency, we were told we'd have to buy their insurance (at a ridiculous $24.99/day) since they wouldn't accept our Amica insurance. We then had to find transportation back to the airport, where we rented from Dollar, who did accept our insurance. In addition to the inconvenience, we lost our deposit of $38. If you want to salvage any of your reputation with me, a refund of the $38 would be a good start, but I would be surprised if this review goes anywhere.

To be fair it was fixed the next day st no cost to me but this did cause me and my family stress on the night.

They pick you up in the car you are hiring. The car was amazing but after long flight it was a bit stressful.
