MEX RENT A CAR at Guadalajara Airport

Pros: poor service staff needs to be more friendly with customers attitude sucks

Pros: I called to see about the insurance requirements, it was clearly explained. I did the research on what rental car websites insurances cover. THERE WAS NO MISLEADING!! at the agency, so I was prepared.

Cons: Mex rent a car is a joke. They wanted me to purchase a different car insurance through them. Even though I already had one through discovercars.

Cons: I was over charged. Mex rent a car did not honor the price paid with Discovercars. Claimed they had a different daily rate and made me pay the difference. They also claimed the coverage I purchased with discovercars did might not give me any coverage, and I was forced to purchase additional coverage in order to rent the vehicle.

Pros: Personel was kind and trying to help, recommending not to buy the full coverage discover cars offer

Cons: I wish I could pre-pay all the insurance rates when I book my car online so I don't have any surprises at the counter. Its a sneaky charge that is very significant for US drivers renting in Mexico.

Cons: Started with empty tank. Forced to pay extra $200 insurance (with hold of 50 thousand pesos on card) thanks to "full coverage" from Discover cards not applying at MEX.

Cons: The prices did not match those stated in the rental agreement and they wouldn't accept the insurance that you recommended for purchase with this specific rental. And no one could help me cancel the insurance. I did cancel the rental though before the deadline for canceling the insurance so I still expect and will fight for a refund or I will be filing a report against you (Discover Cars) with the better business bureau and will post negative reviews of your services whereever possible.

Cons: The car was beat up more than expected. Twilight not working. Had been rear-ended at some point trunk didn't seal well (bad during rainy season)

Cons: The car was nothing like what I rented or chose online. It was a manual instead of automatic. It was missing hub caps and the ones that were on were held in place by zip ties which then rattled like a baby rattle everywhere I drove. They also gave me the car with less 5han an 1/8 of a tank of gas in it. First thing I had to do was find a gas station on a foreign city. They also played the mandatory extra fees and insurance which more than tripled the cost of the actual rental. Was ridiculous.

Cons: They took forever and also charged me an extra fee for returning the car dirty! No where does it state the car must be washed and in perfect condition, that’s the service and fees you pay for when renting a vehicle.

Cons: Charged 4x rental in mandatory insurance after claiming on the phone that it would not happen. Pure robbery.

Cons: This company make you buy an additional insurance or they won’t let you rent the car, this is an additional $20 dollars per day.

Cons: I didn’t like that they overbooked and I have to get different vehicles for few days until they have ready the vehicle I reserved

Cons: Didn't have the car that I reserved and rather than give me an upgrade at no cost, they gave me a manual vehicle with temporary license plates.

Cons: Service is good. Just the price would they give it to me when I making my reservation there was $537 and when I got there there was $1147 I don’t know I don’t understand why that much difference they go to work together in my opinion I never going to rent card again this way

Pros: first of all my first impression about approaching number one agent young Omar at the Guadalajara Airport desk was extremely helpful courteous,well dress,unbelievable helpful,according to our situation at almost 2 am he was able to understand and make the whole rental experience smooth, possible process , sending us to the right other agent to your right location the second agent was about the same quality help. Since we were tired ,frustrated from the 2 last experience from other rentcompanies

Pros: Shady prices and practices. Our rental could not be completed cause the car didn't have the correct insurance. Calling them or anything resulted in no solution so we lost our money.
