Pros: The service was really bad : 2 hours before picking the car, nobody was there when we leaved and of course, they are blocking the deposit because there is a damage ! It’s wrong, they don’t have some pictures, it’s a nightmare !

Pros: Nothing they were unresponsive and not flexible at all.

Cons: The service was shocking! Unresponsive, rude on the phone, not flexible at all. The cars were rubbish and had to change one of the vehicles making 2 trips down to the service centre. I wasted so much time doing this and when it came to requesting a 1 hour grace to drop off they charged me a full day rental. Even after all the inconvenience.

Pros: Keddy doesn’t exist an an actual agency in Cape Town. It is a subsidiary of Europcar . It would have been helpful if this was made known to me before having to search for assistance when arriving in Cape Town . 😞

Cons: Finding their office was hard because there are no signs. The cars electronics did not work, no radio and usb charger not working. Interior light not working, key fob not working. The car was brand new at pickup so everything should work.

Pros: Overall fairly quick and smooth process. The car was in very good condition. Fairly new, sparkly clean, tires hand good grip on the road, steering (alignment) was on point, air condition worked fine. We had no problem picking up the car and car return was much more smooth and efficient than thought (there were too many horrendous reviews that lead us to think otherwise). The deposit wasn't posted as many people claimed. It was never charged so It didn't need to be refunded. Only preauthorised.

Pros: Everything was straightforwards and as you'd expect and hope. Airport pickup and dropoff were ideal. Got the car I expected.

Cons: The actual storefront didn't say "Keddy" which made it a little confusing (though I knew it was a Europcar subsidiary or division). Not as cheap as some other options. Car clunked a bit going over bumps. Could give more info on the internal dimensions of the cars available on the website so you can be sure ex. a surfboard you're going to rent will fit inside etc.

Pros: Always friendly and efficient, so much better than the competitors I’ve tried; I keep coming back.

Cons: My only gripe is the substandard radio in the Suzuki I hired - neither the attendant nor myself could work it out - was a dud for the whole 11 days of my hire but I was too far out of Cape Town to return the car for an exchange.

Pros: The service was not provided by Keddy but by Europcar.

Cons: Clearly Europcar are the most popular rental company at Cape Town Airport but they have far too few staff in the office. Queued outside in midday heat for an hour before even entering the office where another half hour was spent in queue. Next time I’d pay more to use a less busy provider.

Cons: Keddy didn't register or share our reservation with Europcar & so we had to wait till midnight to get the car. The agents at Europcar were great. The only issue is the lack of communication from Keddy. And it was a big issue.

Cons: - At first, Keddy was requesting a higher Refundable Security Deposit compared to what stated in the voucher. Because of this the time spend picking up the car took longer. - Car of a lower category (compared to the one of the voucher)

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Mileage: 1000 km per rental, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: ~€ 855.00), Theft Protection, Airport surcharge, Third Party Liability, Road tax, Vehicle registration fee, Environmental charge, VAT (value added tax), Free modifications.
Rate excludes
The following mandatory surcharge(s) will be applied: Rental contract fee.
Driver requirements
Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 23.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 3 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.
In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): South Africa.
Please note that the International Driving Permit is valid only if accompanied by the regular driver license.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit card on a main drivers name, booking voucher.
Deposit and deductible policy
A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
Payment policy
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
The following credit cards issued on the main driver's name are accepted: American Express, Diners, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card.
The following payment methods are not accepted for payment: Cash, Debit cards.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
Cross-border policy
Cross border rentals are allowed only upon previous request.

Crossing country borders is allowed to the following countries: Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Zambia.
Crossing country borders is forbidden to the following countries: Angola.

In the event that Cross Border & Territorial Restrictions are violated, all protections lose their validity.
Optional extras and services
Available special equipment: Baby seat (up to 1 year of age).
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.
Fuel policy
The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
Rental period
The maximum rental period per agreement is 30 days.
Business hours
Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 29 minutes.
