Pros: Because afterall we didnt pay the gas at the airport, we payed an intern tax for not fueling the car! We were Then asked to pay Almost 20€, which we refused. We ended up paying around 5 € for gas, and waiting Almost 40 minutes when dropping of the car, because of Ilha Verdas customservice and wrong charge when changing the car.

Cons: We got the car changed at the first day because of the engine-lamp light. We were told to drop of the car and change it at the airport. We didnt fuel the car because we were told to drive directly to the airport. At the airport we were told to pay for the gas, which we accepted - allthough we refused to pay a tax for not fueling it, because the engine lamp turned on wasnt liable to us. Returning the new car at the end of the rent period was quiet difficult, (continueing under like)

Rate includes

Free cancellation with a full refund up to 48 hours before your pick-up time, Unlimited mileage, Collision Damage Waiver (deductible: € 1200.00), Theft Protection, Roadside Assistance (in the country of pick-up), Third Party Liability (TPL), Airport surcharge, State Tax.

Rate excludes

The following surcharges may apply: Harbour Surcharge, Piers & Gares Surcharge.

Driver requirements

Minimum rental age is 18 years.
A young driver fee applies to drivers under the age of 24.

There is no maximum age.
A Senior driver fee is not applied.

The driver license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 1 year(s) before the date of the commencement of the rental.

In addition to the regular driver license, an International Driving Permit is also mandatory if the customer is not a resident of the following country(ies): Canada, United Kingdom, USA, EU.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the International Driving Permit treaty, an official translation of the license must be presented with the original license.
For driver licenses from countries not party to the Geneva / Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (e.g., China), an official translation of the license in the following language(s): English, together with the original license, must be presented.

In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver license, credit or debit card on a main driver's name, booking voucher.

Deposit and deductible policy

A deposit will be blocked on the customer's credit card until the end of the rental period.
The exact deposit is determined on pick up since the amount is dependent on the type of vehicle.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon collecting the vehicle.

Payment policy

At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit.
It is possible to pay and leave the deposit only with the following payment methods: Diners, Prepaid cards, Visa Debit Card, MasterCard credit card, VISA credit card, American Express credit card, MasterCard debit card, American Express Debit card.
All credit cards must be capable of the following: Embossed; cards without this capability will not be accepted.

The following payment methods are not accepted for payment: Maestro.

The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., GooglePay or ApplePay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).

Cross-border policy

Moving the car from one island to another is allowed.
One-way rentals are not possible between islands.

Optional extras and services

Available special equipment: GPS Navigation system, Baby seat (up to 1 year of age), Booster seat (4-10 years of age), Delivery fee.
Prices for extras are shown on the booking page.

Adding additional drivers is allowed.
There is an additional charge for each driver.
Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees.
When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.

It is allowed to add up to 2 additional drivers.
Delivery/Collection service is available within city limits. Additional charges will be applied, depending on the distance.

Fuel policy

The vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with the same amount in order to avoid additional charges.
A deposit for a tank of fuel is required upon pick up.

Business hours

Period of time, during regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 59 minutes.
Service outside of business hours is available by request and for an additional charge.
