Cons: The queue was vey long (not Goldcars fault) but the speed of service was exceptionally slow, taking over an hour to collect. The staff were not engaging or pleasant.

Cons: The agent wanted to sell additional insurance and claimed deposit cannot be left with a debit card what we explicitly checked with the Goldcar Madrid office in advance. Agent was impolite and pushy. Negative experience is not about DiscoverCars but Goldcar local rep.

Cons: The car was dented and had a broken rear light and was unclean. No one in the pick up point to work with to fix had to go back to the airport and get someone to attend again - 1.5 hours !!! DISCOVERY insurance offer not sufficient and Goldcar certainly did not rate it

I lost my money and I could not rent the car because at the desk they denied my credit card and they formed me to get their insurance that I refused because it was double the price that I had agreed with discover cars so they cancel my reservation and I could not get my booking back

Pros: The lady who helped us in the car park picking up the car was very helpful. There were additional marks on the car that had not been flagged on the sheet.

Cons: Actually taking €1100 deposit off my card instead of reserving it. No confirmation when my car dropped off that it has been inspected. Waiting upto 20 days for my deposit of €1100 euros to be credited back to my card. Most car rentals only reserve the deposit, but you guys actually take the payment!

Pros: They are trying to charge for extra damage to car when I have photos from the start of the rental with the highlighted marks on the car at collection.

Cons: Insurance was paid. Got charged double for insurance £71 from discover cars then further insurance from gold car. A joke and a rip off. Would like a refund of insurance costs from either or company because effectively it was bought twice.

Cons: As above - Hidden extras not explained at rental from the office. Contract in Spanish with no explanation of additional charges. Not offered to pay in euros despite stating I wished to and having an international bank card. Car had numerous faults including low tire pressure and low engine oil. Car was also not properly cleaned.

Pros: Nothing, never ever again with this unprofessional company.....made me wait over an hour for their agent, then another hour filing complaint against their staff Fatimah.....i have a copy of the complaint. Then when dropped the car, no staff wanted to check the car or the fuel, so had an argument with them the girl and boy there, then complained to the office where the signed off the car documents!!

Pros: Woman receptionist at the parking lot, very professional.

Cons: Didn't received Polo, like reserved even there 3 available in the parking lot. Been asked for more money, fees that not stated by third party. Paid £6/day full cover when reserved, but told that it was third party , not full cover. Receptionist can not recognised credit cards.

Cons: At the desk they asked my signature without telling what i accept when I sign. They just said "and then your signature, pleace", and I signed my name to the tablet. They should show the real paper to the customer before signing. They also put the papers inside their promotional brochure, so they never introduced those.

Pros: When we could not find the car, an employe went with us and showed us, where it was.

Cons: The insurance was robbery. So much for one single week is not ok. We were told, that only possibility was full insurance, or no car. Because they did not accept the creditcard. At 2300 at night we did not have much choice but to pay. That was almost robbery!!

Cons: Gold car is the worst cheating company. And they Even showed it on danish television that this have happened in gran canaria so we thought it stopped but No.

Cons: Representative was rude when I questioned the costs and forced me to purchase insurance. The rate did not match my quote at all.
