Delpaso at Malaga Airport

Cons: Provider refused to change time of pickup after initial flight was cancelled. They insisted that we could only rent a car if we paid an excessive daily charge. This was three times the price of the initial quote from Discover cars. The company did the same to my friends who also arrived in Malaga after a delayed flight.

Cons: Extra charge of 322 euros. I will never but never use their service anymore. Not even yours. Now I deal directly with Europe car or Hertz. Same price or better price than you with no fees surprise

Cons: It took time for me to take pictures of all the damages on the car. Of course I should take pictures but what I mean is that no representative was with me when checking the car before leaving. When you need to check the car yourself you take pictures of all kind of damages on the car because you dont know what is acceptable buy you. I have the experience that the car rental representative together with the customer check the car and note damages before customer leaves with the car.

Cons: They managed to find some scratches on the wing mirror and missing rear wiper rubber that I hadn't managed to get photos of on collection. They decided to waive the mirror damage then decided not to because we threatened to complain about the wiper. Eventually relented again so we left 30 euros poorer for damage that was already there. Do NOT use Delpaso if you want a trouble free holiday.

Then I was almost accused of causing a very small scratch when I didn't have the photo but thankfully I had taken it. For this reason I won't use DelPaso again. Also long queue of customers waiting to be taken to the airport after drop-off, we almost missed our flight as waited over 30 minutes.

Cons: It's a scam. Don't go. I took the DiscoverCars 37€ insurance but they obliged me to take their insurance 115€. They pretext I need a credit and not a debit card for the deposit. I traveled a lot this is first time I had this problem. And in France we only have debit card that we are calling credit card .

Pros: Nothing, I don't think Del Paso cares about guest satisfaction and service. The staff member was rude and aggressive. I understand they implement company policies, and may not have a say on the matter. But there are ways to do it, after all, they know they are riping people off even if they are not responsible.

Cons: DelPaso knows they don't recognise the insurance provided by discovercar: they asked to read the contract from our mobile and knew exactlly what they were looking for in the small print. They keep attracting customers via third parties and then rip them off.

Cons: It was hard to find where we can take the car and there was undercurrent cost of 180 euros for the car that was not mentioned anything about it before.

Pros: The car was in a good condition, only one dent in the back. They did not push us to take out further insurance as long as I allowed them to out a block of €1500 on my credit card. This was never taken thankfully. I took my own far cheaper excess policy out just incase, but no incidents and the at was returned smoothly without extra cost.

I wasn't told to what extent i should take photo evidence when picking the car or what their procedure is when assessing at the point of return. I took what i thought was reasonable photos as am not an expert in identifying car dents therefore i would have thought the inspection should have been done with Delpaso and check upon the faults identified by both parties

I went back to the desk twice as I could not find the car. It was around 9 pm and dark. I couldn't read all the parked cars registration numbers after a long day traveling. The cars are not parked in numbered parking spaces. The t time a young girl took the keys and brought the car from the end of the car park. Because I didn't pay full insurance

There were a lot, and upon bringing back the car the lady immediately pointed out a minor scratch on the rear window viewer, which of course was the one we did not take a picture off. 98 euro of damage that we immediately got back from Discovery through the full insurance service. But a clear scam by Delpaso : I assume they try to play the same game with this car with everyone.

I proved them wrong by showing the video which I took when I rented a car. After this I told other customers who were coming to pick up cars to make sure they take video so this will not happen to them. After this the agents told me I am not allowed to take their shuttle bus to the airport because I told this to the other customers. They said I must take a taxi!

A total scam. The surprise fees and costs were ridiculous. The car cost four times more than the price quoted online. The rental location was not in the airport. The shuttle bus was not easy to find. some of the people working there did not seem to care very much. The car needed washer fluid, wasn’t fully cleaned.

Cons: The condition of the car was not "up to the mark". Even though the km reading was just about 57000 kms, the car felt very worn out and quite difficult to drive. I've been driving manual cars for about 30 years, this one was one of the hardest. The cluck was misaligned or totally worn out. The 1st gear would engage almost at full release of the clutch. This made it quite hard to control the vehicle at the signal stops and starting up on slopes. There were many cosmetic damages to the vehicle body

I declined, and they sharply told me to check very carefully for scratches as the £30 policy doesn't cover them. They made zero effort to look at the car and agree on scratches. I photographed but missed a scuff on the wing mirror. Result 98E charge. I'm convinced the scuff wasn't a new one and has been there for ages. Crooks!

Cons: They have a scheme going on where if your name on your credit card isn’t exactly the same as your passport then it can’t be taken. Eg. My full name is Kyle Russell but my credit card says K Russell. The one bank card that has my full name was a debit card which they do not accept so despite calling discover cars who said they are happy to ignore the small print but the Delpaso people would not accept it and only offered the solution to pay their full excess of another €160 to get more money.

Pros: Everything was quick and clear at DelPaso but you have to agree with them a common policy with regards to the insurance. On one side you sell an insurance during the car rent process and on the other side they try to sell you another insurace during the car pick up process. It seems that DelPaso insurance is better than yours as if you purchase theirs then the cash deposit is not required anymore. Overall the process was smooth and they weren’t pushy with their insurance. Thanks!

Car full of little bumps at pick up can be easily challenged by Elpaso at drop off and you need to defend every bump done previously with footages, you can lose your deposit and an hour of your life in you don't buy their insurance not offered by Discoverycars. I felt trapped and i had to buy insurance.

First of all I eventually didn't rent the car I ordered because of the many extra fees needed to be payed in order to get the car 1. They ask for an absured amount to cover the deposit fee (1660 euros) 2. When arriving I tried to pay with a pre Paid master card. They said it was only possible to pay with a credid without limit

Cons: A few minutes later of trying they told me eventually that it was possible if I paid an ADDITIONAL 300 EUROS which I thought was outrageous because I'm already paying a deposit of 1660. When reading reviews on trust pilot it became clear many people had to pay an additional 300 euros on top of the deposit for reasons they thought where unfair. So if you don't want any unpleasant surprises I recommend not hiring here!!! I only lost the service fee of 13 euros to discover cars.

They cancelled the booking even though they had been made aware of the delay and the terms and conditions did not specify cancellation in the event of delayed pickup. They then would only reinstate the booking if we took their insurance product - we didn’t require this as we had an insurance product that covered any excess. We had to agree because we had no other option. This was a simple case of privateering.

Discoverycars should not have the hidden gotchas with pricing. I'm less likely to use Discoverycars due to lack of transparency and having these cos on website

Lots of comments to other staff colleagues in their native language so I cannot understand what is being said. I would not endorse this company or their rude ignorant and bullying staff to anybody. Cons: Aggressiv driver and dangerous driving stile in shuttle bus. No instruction of hired car. They wanted to sell me additional insurance. Had to document scratches, damages by myself and when giving back he showed me each damage. Without foto report I would have had a problem. Not customer friendly approach.

Pros: Nothing, This hire company are fraudsters and looking for any opportunity to charge for damages that dont exist. When droping the car back they were pointing out scratches to the car and asking me if I had proof that this was there before the hire. Which I did, so no charge. You think they had there own records. When I get home I get an email saying the clutch was burnt out (after only 150km of use!) and they fraudulently took funds from my card for €780 .

Cons: I was charged almost €200 for a pre-existing small scratch. Frankly amounts to little more than extortion. It was really just a shakedown, a way of gouging more money out of customers.

Cons: I was forced to choose between an additional insurance at 160€ or a deposit of 1400€, given the comments of del paso, I find it shameful that you still recommend them on your platform, I felt scammed, being with a 1 year old baby, I didn't really have the choice to pay these extra 160€! And I'm not the only one to have been taken in, the employees are unpleasant and don't want to hear or understand anything, I'll never go through you again, if it's to have this result!

Cons: I have written Delpaso cars with a long list of complaints. Is there some way of sending this to you? Delpaso draws customers in with cheap upfront rentals but they then systematically overcharge you on return for defcts that were already existing. They refused to refund us for a broken child seat and then massively charged us for a very minor scratch that we failed to record properly at the commencement. The customer service was appalling. They shouted and gesticulated at us, etc.

The car was in absolutely no incidents on my trip, On return they made big issue of one very small area / scrape - and said if I ever hire from them again I must take out theIr full insurance. I felt as though I had been ‘set up’ or picked on for not taking their expensive full cover insurance.

Cons: When I arrived, I was told I could not hire the car without my full name on my credit card. I have 4 credit cards and my friend did too and not a single one includes my full first name. They wanted to charge me 90 Euro as an "alternative" to not having a card with my full name on. They were rude, unhelpful, and unsympathetic. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. It honestly just feels like a scam.

Cons: When we arrived the car company refused to give us the car as my credit card said ‘’M Power’ instead of ‘Matt Power’. Despite having multiple forms of identity. I’ve never in my life encountered this issue nor such blatant unreasonableness. We thus lost our deposit. I will NEVER use discovercars or Delpaso again.
