Budget at Tel Aviv Airport

Pros: relatively quick and nice

Cons: A bigger deposit than originally stated, was taken. On the site it wrote up to 750.00, at the rental agency he told me my deductible would be 600.00 but they took a 950.00 deposit although it was all refunded, I was not happy with that and I wasn't even told that it would be so high till I saw my credit card charged it.

Pros: fast service

Cons: first car had faulty air con, swapped car and was upgraded, very pleased.

Cons: The car had a lot of small scratches that were not mentioned in the contract - that's why I believe you pushed me to take full coverage in order to fix those scratches ... NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Pros: It was OK, they did try to oversell us when we arrived by saying they do kot have the car we booked.... But they were able to sort that out eventually

Pros: I was scared by reading negative comments online. However my personal experience was wonderful. Polite personnel, car in good conditions, no trials to upsell, fast pick up and return of the car. Everything worked smooth. I've waited until the last minute some catch or trial to charge me for some unexisting damage, but fortunately my guesses were baseless. Thank you, employees of Ben Gurion's Budget!

Cons: I went to another branch in Tel Aviv to ask to replace the car due to its terrible automatic gear and dirt and they say this is the only model they have.

Pros: The service at the desk was efficient and friendly. Car return was easy and shuttle arrived quickly.

Cons: The service desk was very hard to find (and wronly denoted). The car smelled very bad due to smoking. It had burn marks of cigarettes all over the front seats. The car itself had very little power, just enough to climb hills. The handbrake was too weak. We could not even park our car on a hill, because the hand brake could not hold it!

Cons: Front Tires were bald. Should not have been rented with these tires. Had no record of Voucher from Discover. Had to start a new reservation.

Pros: The car was small (as expected) but ok. Small car was an advantage in the cities. Easy going people. Fast shuttle to Departure hall.

Cons: The car was ok, except for the tyres.All four tyres needed some air every few days. Customers probably won't tell because Budget holds customers responsible for damage to wheels and tyres.

Cons: Nobody at desk in airport. Sign says to walk outside to another office and directions are badly posted hard to find.

Cons: Waited for 40 minutes for the shuttle (when I had a flight to catch). They gave me a hard time about nearly invisible "scratches" on the car (that were probably already there, but were too insignificant to even be noticed at pick up). Also, they said I was unable to waive the collision insurance (to have it be covered on my credit card) since it was a "line item" through discovercars, and had to accept the insurance with a deductible, or opt for their total coverage at an additional $26/day.

Cons: Crazy having to use a code to unlock the car before starting it (4 digit code) placed in a hard to reach place. If you get it wrong, you get "punished" having to wait longer till you can try again. Also battery had to be changed during hire as car would not start! Cost me about two hours waiting. Mechanic told me that the problem was well known.

Pros: The service personnel did a good job of getting us through the check in and in our way. Both check in and out was good

Cons: Some information about filling up the car would be useful. There is no English on the pumps and to use a credit card you need to read Hebrew. Cash works best for fill up. Also clarify the tolls before you go. GPS is definitely needed, we used Waze and it worked well. Not complaints really just suggestions.

After a few days, the there was a warning about Adblue being low, and then after a few more days that Adblue must be filled now. The car must have not been checked thorougly before I received it.
