We picked up our rental car in El Calafate, Argentina. We had it for 5 days and drove it to El Chalten and back. We were beyond thankful for our agent when we picked up the car, who made sure we had everything we needed and taught us how to put on snow chains (necessary for Patagonia in winter). Having the car allowed us to stop and admire the breathtaking scenery as much as we wanted, and made for easy transport to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. We even drove it into Los Glaciares national park to see Perito Moreno glacier. Snow chains are required to enter the park and the driving was a bit scary, but our Nissan Champ served us well. Pick-up and drop-off were very smooth and we had no issues. We were able to easily change our drop-off location from what was on our reservation. Also, one of the parts on our snow chains somehow broke but our agent said it was an easy fix and did not charge us. We are beyond satisfied with this service.
