There are two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is divided into five piers—A, B, C, D, and F. It hosts most flights. Terminal 2 is much smaller and is only used during the winter season. The new Aile Est (East Wing) pier is under construction.

Bus stop is furthest one away in wrong direction.
Walk if you can it's quicker.
GRC is only a little further than normal hire car pick up and it's cheaper!

I've rented many times in Geneve airport, and I can't say this was a good experience. I rented on the French side of the airport because it was a little cheaper, but didn't know that those rental cars have no Swiss autobahn sticker, so paid CHF40.- as I needed to travel through Switzerland. The other times I rented directly from the airport too a long time, and they don't explain things clearly. They're also expensive if you rent from the airport. I actually walked from the airport to collect the car as it was a nice morning. Took about 25mins door to door, but there is a bus service if needed. Great first time experience which I will use again for sure. Highly rated by myself!

Not needed in GVA city, but very handy for getting to neighbouring ski resorts. Rent from the Swiss side of GVA airport (not French) to guarantee the vehicle has mandatory winter tyres included in the price.

We picked up our car and explored central Switzerland. The only difficulty of renting in Geneva is the confusion caused by the city being on the border of multiple countries. The airport in Geneva has a difficult layout due to two separate customs areas, and once you make a wrong turn you cannot go back. Our rental experience with Discover Rental Car was phenomenal, as the manager personally picked us up at our hotel in France, brought us to the rental agency, and even drove us to a train station in the city when we dropped the car off. He made our commute easy!
